Fire Safety News
Vegetation fires are dynamic events and it is impossible to predict, in othere than general terms, the path they will take beforehand. Please take time to familiarize yourself with multiple possible evacuation routes nearest your home. Drive them at least once to make sure they have not changed (by construction, for instance). Bear in mind that there is no substitute for situational awareness and that fire activity or direction from emergency responders will dictate your actions. Due to the limited ingress/egress in most areas of our fire district, "if in doubt...get out" may help you miss the inevitable traffic congestion that will occur.
An excellent summary of evacuation preparation and actions may be found HERE.
